Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing started off as an N64 game but ended up being one of the best selling Gamecube games. It's pleasantness and absolute freedom allowed players to slow down and take their time really enjoying themselves. It was a trip to a nicer, calmer, lower stakes world and it's still that to this day.
